Dear ThinkSlovenia,
I am getting back to your nice follow-up mail with some delay - my apologies for that.
We had a wonderful stay at Apartment Ana! Wherever one goes on self-catering holidays, there is always a couple of minor glitches, even in the most luxurious houses / apartments, and our family, as avowed "self-caterers", has some experience with that. It could not be otherwise, and I honestly believe it is a matter of adjusting certain expectations. So, yeah, there are a couple of comments for improvement that I could come up with, and once there is more time (I am crazy busy right now), I will gladly do that. The main thing is, though, that none of them are deal-breakers, or took away from the very nice experience we had with this property in Piran - we are very glad we went, feel we got our money's worth, and would not hesitate to recommend it to others (have in fact already done so :-)).
However, you may have noticed that on Tripadvisor, there is a highly negative (and, in my view, unhelpful, one-sided, and ultimately unfair) review of Apartment Ana by an American gentleman (I believe). It actually made us (needlessly) nervous before the trip! So, I intend to set the record straight on that rather influential public front (after all, most people nowadays check TA reviews for restaurants, hotels, cottages), with a review of my own. And once I get around doing that, I will gladly send you a brief notice that I did that, and then you'll find my (as I said, minor) comments and criticism over there, along with glowing praise! :-)
Thank you again for everything - your agency is pleasant to work with, and does all the important things right. Coming in through the mountaineous part in the north along our trip, the wife and I regretted that it was really not feasible (because of the long travel distance, and because of a carful of thirsty and tired kids) to explore the Triglav national reserve area a bit, and it is therefore entirely possible that we will visit Slovenia again. If and when that happens, I shall definitely check out your offerings.
Have a nice summer,
Joha
