Vila Vrba is situated in the heart of historic Vrba village, the birthplace of Slovenia’s most famous poet France Prešeren. Vrba is a quiet and authentic alpine village just 6km away from Lake Bled with lovely views of the Julian Alps and Bled Castle in one direction and the mighty Karavanke mountains in the other. The beautiful restored home of France Prešeren is open to the public just short walk from the house. Other local points of interest include Završnica lake (5km) for Summer swimming and recreation and the start point for many hikes into the Karavanke mountains. The Ljubljana - Jesenice motorway is accessible in a few minutes drive from the house giving great access South to Ljubljana in 35 mins (airport 25 mins) and to Kranjska Gora in 30 mins.
There are an abundance of outdoor activities in the area including magnificent hiking and biking for all levels. Lake Bohinj is a 40 minute drive and it is half an hour's drive from three of Slovenia's top resorts, Krvavec, Bohinj, Vogel & Kranjska Gora.
