Mountain Biking

Slovenia has developed a reputation amongst biking aficionados as one of Europe's top destinations for mountain biking, with beautiful mountain scenery, an abundance of routes, excellent bike park infrastructure, an active MTB community with Slovenia and wealth of expertise and mountain biking guides. In 2014 new legislation concerning the protection of the environment has meant that pure off road biking is much limited and the future for mountain biking in Slovenia looks to be based around officially scantioned roads / tracks and bike parks. The guide below focuses on bike parks. Please contact the respective parks before visiting for latest information on what trails / tracks are open for use.
