Apartment Solinar is located in a great and peaceful spot in the town of Strunjan, just a few meters from one of the most well-maintained beaches in the area – Salinera. Other organized beaches, such as Pacug and Strunjan Beach, are about one kilometer away, and a short drive will take you to the charming coastal towns of Piran, Portoro, and Izola.
The location offers an excellent base for exploring the Slovenian coast and the wider surroundings. Nearby is the Strunjan Landscape Park with its salt pans, where salt has been traditionally harvested for over 700 years.
Inland lies picturesque wine-growing country (mainly cultivating a delicious red grape variety unique to Slovenia – Refošk) and attractions such as the world-famous Postojna Caves, golf courses, and the historic Lipizzaner stud farm at Lipica. Slovenia’s charming capital, Ljubljana, is just a 90-minute drive away, and day trips to Trieste and Venice in Italy or the beautiful Istrian coast of Croatia are easily possible.
