INTRODUCTION

Villa Belica is a beautiful 3 bedroom Bohinj chalet sleeping upto 8 people just a few minutes drive from Lake Bohinj one of Slovenia's most stunning natural treasures and in close proximity to quality skiing at Vogel & Kobla and a huge range of river, lake & mountain activities in Summer. Located on the edge of a quiet village of weekend chalets, on one side of the chalet is a beautiful secluded garden enclosed by forest, on the other side a panoramic view of the Julian Alps. The Villa has three bedrooms, large living room and separate dining room, balcony, fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and additional toilet. Everything has been recently renovated and newly equipped to the highest standards with flat screen TV / DVD player among the many features as well as garden with seating and barbeque area. A fantastic base from which to explore Slovenia’s enchanting Lakes Region.

Enclosed by forest on one side and offering a panoramic view of Triglav, Slovenia’s highest mountain on the other, Villa Belica Bohinj Chalet is situated on the edge of the tranquil village of Bohinj Polje just a few minutes drive or a short walk via a scenic forest path to the majestic Lake Bohinj, a serene lake surrounded by towering peaks and pristine forests considered by many to be the most beautiful part of Slovenia. In Summer the Lake offers the opportunity for kayaking, sailing and rowing, as well as fly-fishing, swimming or just relaxing on the lake shore. The mountains of Lake Bohinj are fantastic for walking and arguably the best place to start climbs up Slovenia's highest mountain, Triglav. They also offer scope for great mountain biking, canyoning, paragliding as well as skiing. The ski resort Vogel above Lake Bohinj is one of Slovenia’s best with good lift infrastructure and snow record. It is 5-10 minutes drive from the house to the Vogel cable car, which is also open in the Summer giving easy access to high altitude walking and mountain biking. A second ski area – Kobla – offers good beginner - intermediate level skiing, 5 mins drive away from the house in the town of Bohinjska Bistrica which also offers a modern water park with ample pool and spa facilities as well as a range of useful amenities including shops, bars, restaurants & bank. 20 minutes drive away from the house is world famous Lake Bled. Villa Belica is located in the same village as another beautiful Bohinj Chalet – Chalet Planina. Hiring both houses is an ideal option for large groups looking for Bohinj chalet accommodation for 12-16 people.

3km to the nearest railway station in Bohinjska Bistrica with connections around Slovenia including the wonderful car train to Most Na Soci a wonderful way to get to the Soca Valley for a day trip..

There is a bus station in the village with connections to Bled & Bohinj lakes and beyond. There is also a ski bus in the Winter which runs trhough the village to Vogel ski area.

Villa Belica  offers an excellent standard of accommodation for groups of up to 8 – newly renovated and with quality wooden flooring and furnishings throughout. On the ground floor of this Bohinj Chalet are an entry room, WC, double bedroom with ensuite shower room, large dining room with access onto the beautiful terrace, which offers outdoor seating and barbeque facilities. On the first floor are one double bedroom with lovely balcony, one twin bedroom & bathroom. In the basement is the living room with single sofabed and additional single fold out bed, plus the boiler room.
