The Bled area is surrounded by beautiful scenery and offers plenty of leisure or active activities, from walks around the picturesque Vintgar Gorge and the various hills surrounding the lake, to mountain walking and mountain biking on the Pokljuka Plateau, kayaking, canyoning, and rafting on the Sava Bohinjka River, as well as, of course, swimming and boating on Lake Bled itself.
Bled is also a great base for exploring Slovenia’s many ski areas. Most skiers staying in Bled visit the excellent resorts of Vogel, Krvavec, and Kranjska Gora, each of which is about a half-hour's drive away. There are also many other ski areas in Slovenia, Austria, and Italy, all within day-trip distance from the property.
The villa also offers a fantastic position for exploring Slovenia’s many sights, with plenty of easy day trips possible, including stunning Lake Bohinj, just 30 minutes away, and Slovenia's capital, Ljubljana, and the medieval town of Škofja Loka, each just 45 minutes’ drive away.

Villa Plemelj offers 4 renovated studio apartments in a historic Bled Villa dating from 1908 in a fabulous location 200m from the lovely north west corner of the Lake. The apartments are located on the second floor of the building with a communal kitchen (large fridge freezer, hob, oven and cooking equipment) and communal living room (sofa, TV, dining table for 8 people, games corner) available for guests on the ground floor and communal pergola covered dining table for 8 in the garden surrounding the house. One parking space for each apartment is available in front of the house. The apartments on the ground floor and other rooms in the building are not in use in 2026, meaning that when booking all 4 apartments the whole villa is private for your group.
