Other local points of interest include historic Kobarid, just 20 kilometres away; the setting for Hemingway's "A Farewell to Arms", with its wealth of top class restaurants and museum to First World War history (the Soca Valley was a major front during WW1 and there are fascinating monuments and visits possible all over the Valley). Tolmin, the main town in the region and home to the wonderful Tolmin Gorge is just 15 minutes from the house. Bovec, a pretty town at the head of the Soca valley and a mecca for adventure sports and now home to a golf course is just 40 kilometres away and lastly the extraordinarily pretty Goriska Brda wine growing region is just 30 kilometres from the apartment. Most na Soci is home to a train station which offers two very interesting possible excursions - one is the regular car train which runs to Bohinjska Bistrica. Just drive on with your car and an hour later after a scenic ride through hidden valleys (and then through a long tunnel under the mountains) you arrive at Bohinjska Bistrica just a few minutes from Lake Bohinj - one of Slovenia's most beautiful spots and a great day trip. The other is the wonderful old steam train which runs from Nova Gorica to Lake Bled every Sunday.

The house is built over 2 floors and sits on a massive 4400m2 land comprising a lovely garden complete with its own massive summer kitchen, ideal for the hot summer months. With the rest being forested land. The house boasts 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large kitchen with dining area as well as a spacious and very comfortable living area with sofas. As you enter the house, you walk in the dining area. from where you can also access the ground floor bathroom, complete with shower. On the same floor can be found the first of the 3 bedrooms, which has a single pull out bed (allowing sleeping for 2).
The stairs from the dining area lead to the first floor where the living room as well as the 2 remaining bedrooms are. The living room feels extremely cosy and offers ample space for a party of 8 with 2 very comfortable sofas sitting 3 each as well as a couple of cosy chairs. There is a door in the living room that leads to the double bedroom. The quadruple bedroom which boasts a double bed and bunk beds is also accessed from the living room. The second bathroom with shower and toilet is also to be found on the same floor.
Exit the house and you access the lovely terrace with absolutely breath-taking views over the surrounding lush hills and the ever turquoise Soča River. This terrace is no ordinary terrace; it comes complete with its own outdoor summer kitchen where you will be able to cook for and entertain your party in the hot summer months. The terrace then blends into the garden which in turns edges the forested land surrounding the house.
