Peričnik Waterfall

As one of Slovenia's most stunning and well known waterfalls, Peričnik is a remnant of the ice age when the largest glacial valley, the stunning Vrata Valley was shaped. Cascading at first 16 m down to the first ridge and then a further 52 m into a pool below, the sound of the falls can be heard from quite some distance.

In winter the falls turn into numerous flows and icicles, a wonderful wall of blue and green; an interesting challenge for the would be ice-climbing adventurer.
