Vrata Valley
Partly etched into the base of the imposing North Face of Triglav, this glacial valley is a popular tourist destination and has been since the end of the 19th century. An amphitheatre of mountains with Triglav towering at its end, the Vrata Valley is some 10 km long, offering incredible natural beauty along its path.
This is the only place in Triglav National Park where Triglav's mighty presence resonates above, leaving you feeling quite small. As one of the three valleys that run behind the village of Mojstrana, Vrata is the most impressive of them all. The others being the Kot Valley and the Krma Valley.
