Bovec
Located in north-west Slovenia, Bovec has a rich, colourful history. It borders Triglav National Park and is the centre of the Upper Soča Valley region. A once important trade route between Vienna and the port of Trieste, the history of Bovec extends further back in time to the early Iron Age; yet had its earliest mention around 1174.
Numerous events and festivals take place throughout the year and the area is a haven for sporting activities all year round.
