Soča Valley

Rich with stunning scenery, abound in colour, wending waterways and cascading waterfalls. The Soča Valley is nothing short of breaktaking. It forms just part of Triglav National Park and is home to the emerald green Soča River, amongst other great natural wonders.

The area holds with it an incredible amount of charm and attracts visitors in large numbers all throughout the year. A visit to Slovenia would not be complete without seeing the magic that is the Soča Valley. Disney used this area as the backdrop for its 'The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian' movie. Though, not all of it holds such wonder. The valley staged a number of major military operations during the First World War that saw the loss of over 300,000 lives. There are a number of monuments dedicated to the battles and those fallen during this dark patch of European history.
