Iglica Apartments are located in Obrne, a charming, authentic, alpine village between Lake Bled (5km) and Lake Bohinj (19km). Whilst only a few minutes drive from Lake Bled it feels worlds apart as even in high summer season it is quiet and peaceful. The house itself is in an quiet, elevated position in the village amongst other alpine farmhouses and offering great views of surrounding mountains and forests beyond the village in all directions. The sister village of Obrne is Bohinjska Bela which is another charming alpine village offering local amenities including shop and restaurants (nearest restaurant - Batist - dates back to 1900 and is just over 1km from the house). There are also a number of local points of interest including the Iglica waterfall, the Babji Zob caves and fantastic hiking - notably stunning Galetovec mountain as well as a number of short hikes to peaks with excellent viewpoints. In Summer both lake Bled and Bohinj are great for swimming, relaxing on the lake shore and boating of various descriptions, whilst the beautiful Sava Bohinjka which runs between Bled and Bohinj and passes beneath Obrne village offers fantastic fly-fishing and kayaking. The surrounding mountains in the whole lakes region offer scope for great mountain biking, canyoning, paragliding as well as skiing in Winter months. The Pokljuka plateau to the north offers stunning alpine pastures and forests, magnificent walking and biking routes and Slovenia’s best cross country skiing. The ski resort Vogel above Lake Bohinj is one of Slovenia’s best with good lift infrastructure and snow record. It is 25 minutes drive from the house to the Vogel cable car, which is also open in the Summer giving easy access to high altitude walking and mountain biking. 15 minutes drive from the house is the town of Bohinjska Bistrica which offers a modern water park with ample pool and spa facilities as well as a range of useful amenities including shops, bars, restaurants & bank. Krvavec and Kranjska Gora ski resorts are both within 40 minutes drive of the house and there is a wide range of other ski areas in Slovenia / Italy / Austria within day trip distance. Ljubljana, Slovenia's beautiful capital is circa 45 minutes drive away.

Both apartments were fully or part renovated in 2020 and both offer spacious, bright accommodation, modern bathrooms and wonderful balconies overlooking the views. The First Floor apartment has two double bedrooms and sofabed in the living room whilst the Penthouse has 2 double bedrooms, a single bedroom and extra mattress which can be put in the larger bedrooms or living area. With both lakes so close on hand there is an array of things things to do and see in the area, but also various local amenities, places to eat and excellent hiking to various peaks from Obrne and its charming sister village Bohinjska Bela as well as local attractions such as Iglica waterfall and Babji Zob cave.
