In Summer the Lake offers the opportunity for kayaking, sailing and rowing, as well as fly-fishing, swimming or just relaxing on the lake shore. The mountains of Lake Bohinj are fantastic for walking and arguably the best place to start climbs up Slovenia's highest mountain, Triglav. They also offer scope for great mountain biking, canyoning, paragliding as well as skiing.
The ski resort Vogel above Lake Bohinj is one of Slovenia’s best with good lift infrastructure and snow record. It is 5-10 minutes drive from the house to the Vogel cable car, which is also open in the Summer giving easy access to high altitude walking and mountain biking. A 5 min drive from the house is the town of Bohinjska Bistrica which offers a modern water park with ample pool and spa facilities as well as a range of useful amenities including shops, bars, restaurants & bank. 20 minutes drive away from the house is world famous Lake Bled. A ski bus runs during the ski season on days that are suitable for skiing and the ski centre is open. Chalet Planina is located in the same village as 2 other beautiful Bohinj Chalets – Villa Belica & Villa Frida. Renting all 3 houses is an ideal option for large groups looking for chalet Bohinj style accommodation for 15-21 people.

With 2 double bedrooms, 1 single bedroom and loft level mezzanine, the house is perfect for a small or larger family and offers very high standards of comfort and quality with good facilities, excellent views and a beautiful garden. Chalet has a maximum adult capacity of 6, groups of 7 are possible only if there is 1 child in the party.
