Chalet Alpinka is located in the midst of alpine pastures and forests just 100m from the nearest lifts in the Kriška Planina area of Krvavec Ski Resort, arguably Slovenia’s best all round ski area with a good range of skiing for all abilities, decent lift infrastructure and a long season thanks to artificial snow making and reasonably high altitude. The Kriška Planina part of the resort connects in to the main ski area but is a little quieter and calmer and Chalet Alpinka retains a nice sense of privacy and space with only a few other neighbouring houses and wonderful views on one side of the chalet to the Julian Alps and Triglav : Slovenia's highest mountain. In Summer months there is excellent walking from your doorstep with a range of fantastic high altitude routes possible including Grintovec : the highest peak in the Kamniske Savinjske Alps at 2558m and various other peaks and multi day treks. There is one of Slovenia's most popular paragliding launch points within a few minutes of the house making it an ideal accommodation option for experienced paragliders or for beginners wanting to try a tandem flight with instructor. There are also various excellent biking trails down Krvavec mountain (with the gondola - open in Summer - offering an easy way back up!) The Summer also offers the excellent Krvavec Summer Park which has a high ropes course, climbing wall, bike and scooter trails which can be acccessed via chairlift. For eating out, there are a couple of good farm-tourist restaurants in walking distance of the chalet offering local produce and further options for eating and drinking a short walk or drive way in the main part of Krvavec resort and a wide range of other choices further down the mountain or in the valley floor where there are two attractive towns: Kamnik & Cerklje. Other facilities in the nearest town (Cerklje) include Facilities include supermarket, bakery, butcher, petrol station, bank, pharmacy.
From the tranquil mountain setting you would never guess that it was less than 30 minutes drive to Ljubljana airport making it a fantastically accessible chalet especially for weekend ski trips. The chalet is also very well positioned for exploring some of Slovenia’s most beautiful sights – Ljubljana, Lake Bled, Skofja Loka, Kamnik & Velika Planina are all within an hours drive and make fantastic day trips. The chalet is accessible by road (last few minutes are by track - NB may not be accessible to the door in Winter depending on snow conditions) or in Winter also by gondola / skidoo.

Krvavec ski / Summer accommodation at Chalet Alpinka is divided into two independent semi-detached houses. These can be rented separately or together. The properties are both excellently fitted and furnished in a charming rustic alpine style and offer and excellent level of comfort. The ground floor layout is the same in both houses: and entrance hall leads to a shower room and the open plan kitchen / dining room / living room (with wood burning stove) and access onto the terrace. On the first floor House, 1 offers a secondary living room, double bedroom & toilet, whilst House 2 offers two double bedrooms and toilet. All rooms on this floor have balcony access. House 1 also offer a loft level with bedroom with two double beds. Behind the house is a storage area for sports gear, wood shed and games room.
House 1 measures circa 70m2, house 2 circa 60m2 + games room.

At the front of both houses is a lovely sunny terrace area. There is a stone BBQ beside the chalet and two large solid wooden outdoor tables. There is also a tree house/playroom for children. Immediately beyond the property boundary are forests and open green space in summer and a path to the pistes in winter (100m)
Both houses have a balcony on the first floor.

Both houses also share a games room behind the house which has table football, table tennis and darts.
There is also badminton and a range of other sports equipment avaialble for use in Summer months.

The heating in both properties is via the wood fired stove, so guests will need to maintain the stove with wood provided in the wood shed behind the chalet.
