Bohinjska Bela is a charming alpine village located overlooking start of the valley heading from Lake Bled towards Lake Bohinj. Whilst only 3km from Lake Bled if feels worlds apart as even in high summer season the village is quiet and peaceful. The house is located 800m from the centre of the village where the local supermarket and other amenities are located. In the other direction 1km away is a fantastic local restaurant and train station and a bus stop, making exploring the lakes region and rest of Slovenia possible by public transport. The house itself is in an quiet, elevated position in the village amongst other alpine farmhouses and offering good views of surrounding mountains and forests beyond the village in all directions. Lake Bled is just a 5 minutes drive away or alternatively a beautiful 45 min walk through beech woods, taking you to the most attractive side of the lake with the best beaches / swimming areas and unforgettable views of the island, castle and Alps in the background. A range of other walking routes up local peaks also start from Bohinjska Bela & around and there is a huge choice of other hiking and other outdoor activities available across the Lake Bled and Bohinj region. In Summer both lakes are great for swimming, relaxing on the lake shore and boating of various descriptions. The beautiful Sava Bohinjka which runs between Bled and Bohinj and pass beneath Bohinjska Bela village offers fantastic fly-fishing and kayaking. The surrounding mountains also offer scope for great mountain biking, canyoning, paragliding as well as skiing. Pokljuka plateau to the north offers stunning alpine pastures and forests, magnificent walking and biking routes and Slovenia’s best cross country skiing in Winter. The ski resort Vogel above Lake Bohinj is one of Slovenia’s best with good lift infrastructure and snow record. It is 25 minutes drive from the house to the Vogel cable car, which is also open in the Summer giving easy access to high altitude walking and mountain biking. A 20 min drive from the house is the town of Bohinjska Bistrica which offers a modern water park with ample pool and spa facilities as well as a range of useful amenities including shops, bars, restaurants & bank. Krvavec and Kranjska Gora ski resorts are both within 40 minutes drive of the house and there is a wide range of other ski areas in Slovenia / Italy / Austria within day trip distance. Ljubljana, Slovenia's stunning capital is circa 45 minutes drive away.

Bela Cottage is a comfortable holiday home with generous rooms sizes and spaces throughout. It is equipped to a high standard with contemporary fittings and furnishings and warm wooden finishes, giving a homely, welcoming ambiance. On the ground floor there is a well equipped modern country kitchen with dishwasher at the heart of the house, leading to a spacious dining room with sofa seating and woodburner. Down a few stairs you find a separate living room with another fireplace, and entrance to storage room for garden furniture / BBQ etc. On this level is also a bathroom with jacuzzi bath and washing machine. A beautiful curved wooden staircase leads you to the top floor where there are 3 spacious bedrooms, one twin, two double (one with a balcony) and a bathroom with shower enclosure.
Steps just outside the front door lead to a small patio area with table, chairs and a BBQ. The house has wireless internet and satellite TV.
There is parking for only 1 car in front of the house and guests need to park as close to the house as possible and make sure the car is not blocking the road.

Bela Cottage is a spacious, comfortable 3 bedroom holiday chalet sleeping up to 8, located in the charming alpine village of Bohinjska Bela just 3km from Lake Bled towards Lake Bohinj (20 mins drive). The house has generous sized rooms, 2 bathrooms, terrace, balcony and offers views over the village to mountains beyond and is in walking distance to amenities, fantastic walking trails and the lovely Sava Bohinjka River. Excellent option for family holidays just minutes from Lake Bled and perfectly positioned for exploring the enchanting Lakes Region.

We highly recommend this lovely house and will likely stay here again when in the area. We loved everything- the place was clean, comfortable and had board games available that we played at night in front of the woodstoves. There were two large family rooms for hanging out in. I'd recommend bringing your own seasonings, oil/butter for cooking if you plan on using the kitchen. One day, we hiked from the house up to Ostrijca and then down into Bled (difficult but worth it), then after spending the day by the lake we took a quick inexpensive bus ride back to the village. Another day we loved visiting the Vintgar Gorge.

We stayed there as a family of 5 with teens, 17, 14 and 10. The location is outside of Bled, with turned out to be the best advantage of this place.the house is fully equipped and has plenty of space. It has a private parking, and even a washing machine. We loved every bit of this place. Well recommended!

When I was looking for a good place to stay in Slovenia for our Christmas holiday I found the Bela cottage but had no reviews at all. The place looked great from the first time I saw the post. I still booked the place as the owner, was very helpful answering my questions before placing the booking. Now I am making sure to leave a review for anyone who will be looking for a great place to stay in Bohinjska Bela, a very quiet village with a great atmosphere. We were staying at the Bela Cottage in the Christmas period and this was the first experience for us of a holiday in winter. Bela cottage offered all the needs that we were looking for. One would recommend that you have a car when staying here especially in winter although Bled is not so far away from the cottage. When we arrived at the cottage at night we found that Ralph prepared some Christmas decorations and even a pannetone and some chocholate father Christmas. This place has everything a family would need to stay here and it is also very cosy. We were also lucky to wake up on the last day of our holiday to some 6 inches of snow. The place was wonderful covered in snow like a Christmas Card.

Iglica Apartments offer stunning views of the Sava Bohinjka valley, located in the peaceful village of Obrne between Lake Bled (5km) and Lake Bohinj (19km) and make an excellent base for exploring the enchanting lakes / Triglav National park area for groups of up to 12 (First Floor - 6, Penthouse - 6).
Both apartments were fully or part renovated in 2020 and both offer spacious, bright accommodation, modern bathrooms and wonderful balconies overlooking the views. The First Floor apartment has two double bedrooms and sofabed in the living room whilst the Penthouse has 2 double bedrooms, a single bedroom and extra mattress which can be put in the larger bedrooms or living area. With both lakes so close on hand there is an array of things things to do and see in the area, but also various local amenities, places to eat and excellent hiking to various peaks from Obrne and its charming sister village Bohinjska Bela as well as local attractions such as Iglica waterfall and Babji Zob cave.
