Apartment Petra is located on the raised ground floor of a modern holiday apartment building in an enviable position at the base of the Kranjska Gora ski and mountain bike slopes. It is 50m from the bottom of the piste and 200m to the nearest ski lift - the longest chairlift on the Kranjska Gora side of the resort. In Summer the Kranjska Gora bike park and Summer sledging piste are in very easy walking distance as well as a lovely family cycling piste which runs to to Tarvisio in Italy in one direction and to Mojstrana in the other. All the amenities of Kranjska Gora are also in easy walking distance form the accommodation with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and the pool and spa complex at the Ramada resort all within a few minutes walk (cca 500m). The immediate surroundings of the building are a little removed from the hustle and bustle of the town centre making the location peaceful and the terrace and balcony a lovely spot to relax in the sun.

On the border with Austria & Italy, Kranjska Gora is the most famous mountain resort in Slovenia. The skiing is the main draw for many people – Kranjska Gora Ski Resort is a superb resort for families and beginner – intermediate level skiers, with pistes easily accessible from Podkoren or the Kranjska Gora side and a range of other winter sports in proximity - cross country skiing, sled dog tours, ice climbing, ski mountaineering & ice skating. With stunning mountain scenery, great access to the Triglav National Park and a host of summer outdoor pursuits it remains very popular all year round. Lake Jasna, a short walk out of the centre of Kranjska Gora offers a stunning place to swim and sunbathe in beautiful mountain scenery.

Walking is one of the main summer attractions with a huge range of beautiful trails to suit all abilities. Running through Kranjska Gora is also a wonderful cycling trail on an old railway track runs 30km from the bottom of the Upper Sava Valley into Italy. There is also a huge range of mountain biking in the region including a World Cup mountain bike park on the Kranjska Gora ski slopes. There is also a Summer Sledging piste on the ski slopes which is very popular with kids.

The town of Kranjska Gora itself is a pretty alpine affair, very family friendly, with lots of lively restaurants, bars and a couple of swimming pools / spas. Around Kranjska Gora are a number of extremely pretty villages (including Podkoren, Ratece, Mojstrana, Dovje) in idyllic mountain surroundings. The entry hall leads to the generous, contemporary bathroom with shower enclosure on the right, whilst staight ahead is the comfortable double bedroom with plentiful storage space and terrace access. On the left is the entrance to the open plan living room kitchen , dining room, living room which offers balcony doors on two sides (to the terrace and the balcony) creating a bright attractive space with a quality modern kitchen. The living space also offers a fold out “murphy bed” and space for one person to sleep on the sofabed. There is seating for relaxing on the balcony / terrace.
