Inland lies picturesque wine growing country (mainly growing a delicious red grape variety unique to Slovenia - Refosk), some wonderful old stone hill top villages often with great local restaurants and wineries & a little further afield attractions such as the Secovlje salt plans, the world famous caves at Postojna & Škocjanske Jame (20 / 40 mins drive respectively), golf & the historic Lippizaner stud at Lipica (cca 30 mins drive). Slovenia's charming capital Ljubljana is just 90 minutes drive and day trips into Trieste & Venice in Italy or Croatia's beautiful Istrian coast are easily possible and highly recommended. Apartment Ana offers an excellent standard of accommodation for up to eight people (three bedrooms, one double sofabed in the living room): spacious, bright and newly renovated, located in a traditional Piran townhouse. The apartment features an entry hall, bathroom, two double bedrooms on the ground floor. An open plan living room, bespoke kitchen and dining area on the first floor. On the top floor there is a toilet, large double bedroom with access onto a large terrace with retractable awning. There are commanding views of Tartini Square and the Adriatic Sea from the bedroom and terrace. A table with chairs and sunloungers complete the terrace. Each level of the apartment has its own airconditioner. There is a small fireplace in the living room area. PLEASE NOTE: Steep staircase up to the apartment and unprotected "floating staircase" to the top level may not be suitable for young children.
