Local attractions: Hiking, cycling, horseback riding. Skiing at Bovec Kanin (40 minutes) ski touring, cross-country skiing in the highlands of the mount Matajur and Kolovrat which are closer. A range of sports are possible on the wonderful Soča river (kayaking, canoeing, hydrospeed, fishing and rafting). The nearest town (Kobarid) is a lovely place with plenty of excellent bars and restaurants and a first class museum about the area's major role in the 1st World War. |
