This cosy chalet makes a fantastic base from which to explore Slovenia’s lovely Lakes Region. A typical alpine chalet with terrace and garden all overlooking a panoramic view of Triglav, Slovenia’s highest mountain and the Julian Alps. Situated on the edge of the tranquil village of Bohinj Polje just a few minutes drive to Lake Bohinj, a serene lake surrounded by towering peaks and pristine forests and a few minutes drive in the other direction to Bohinjska Bistrica with its various amenities and water park. The area offers a huge range of outdoor activities all year round both on and around the Lake - from fly-fishing to mountain biking, from kayaking to mountain walking not to mention excellent on and off piste skiing at the highly respected resort of Vogel. The chalet has two double bedrooms, one single bedroom and one loft sleeping area for two. There is a large open plan living room / kitchen / dining room and bathrooms on ground and first floor. There is a large cellar and porch area for storage of skiing equipment as well as a pretty garden. The house has been recently renovated and newly equipped to a very high standard . |

Bohinj Polje is a quiet village of mountain chalets just a few minutes drive from Lake Bohinj, a serene lake surrounded by towering peaks and pristine forests, considered by many to be the most beautiful part of a stunningly beautiful country. Several paths lead from the village into the surrounding hills and forests and down to the Lake. The Lake offers the opportunity for kayaking, sailing and rowing, as well as fly-fishing, swimming and sunbathing in the Summer. The mountains of Lake Bohinj are fantastic for walking and and the best place to start climbs up Slovenia's highest mountain, Triglav, not to mention for paragliding as well as skiing. The ski resort Vogel above Lake Bohinj is one of Slovenia’s best with good infrastructure and snow record. Also good beginner - intermediate level skiing at Kobla, 5 mins drive away in the town of Bohinjska Bistrica which also offers a modern water park with ample pool and spa facilities. 20 min drive away is world famous Lake Bled. |
