The house forms a part of the original walls surrounding the old part of Kanal. The town of Kanal is a picturesque place with a Venetian feel right on the Soča river.

The house is unique in many ways. It was built as part of the original town wall that surrounded the town over 100 years ago. The rear of the house incorporates one of only two remaining turrets that made up the original 6. The house has been completely rebuilt and refurbished to a very high standard. There are two bedrooms plus sleeping space for a further four people on a sofa bed and futon. The house is privately owned and the owners will pay to offset the environmental impact of your stay with a donation to Future Forests making for a conscience free holiday in a lovely house. There are a huge amount of activities in the area from wine tasting in the Goriska Brda to swimming in the Soca, not to mention easy day trips up to the Julian Alps and down to the Adriatic.
