Villa Koritno is a fantastic, spacious, contemporary 5 bedroom holiday home in a beautiful position just 2 kilometres from world famous Lake Bled, named by Yahoo Travel as one of the World's 10 Most Beautiful Lakes. The house is in a peaceful position with stunning views on both sides, and surrounded by a nice garden. The house sleeps 10 people in 5 generously proportioned bedrooms, some with balconies, with 2 bathrooms and high quality, well equipped, modern kitchen open plan with an attractive dining rom / living room with fireplace overlooking the views. An excellent choice for larger groups in a unique location in proximity to Lake Bled..

LOCATION

Villa Koritno is located in the peaceful and charming alpine village of Koritno just a couple of kilometres from Lake Bled and enjoying an enviable position with stunning views of the Karavanke mountains and Julian Alps. The Bled area is surrounded by beautiful scenery and things to do from walks around the lovely Vintgar Gorge and various hills surrounding the lake to great mountain walking and mountain biking on the Pokljuka Plateau, kayaking, canyoning and rafting on the Sava River and its tributaries, as well of course as swimming and boating on Lake Bled itself. Villa Koritno is in a great postion to access all these activities and is also short walk to the lovely Sava Dolinka river and a little further to its confluence with the Sava Bohinjka. There is a huge range of walking and biking in the area much of which can be tackled directly from the doorstep of the house itself or in very close proximity by car. The Bled area is a great place to be based for exploring Slovenia's many ski areas - there is a small resort in the town itself but most skiers based in Bled visit the excellent resorts of Vogel, Krvavec & Kranjska Gora which are each half an hour's drive away (or there is a ski bus from Bled to Vogel / Krvavec). Bled is in a fantastic position for exploring Slovenia’s many sights with plenty of easy day trips possible including stunning Lake Bohinj just 25 minutes away, Slovenia’s pretty capital Ljubljana and the medieval town of Skofja Loka each just 45 minutes drive away.

There is a local bus service connecting the village of Koritno with Bled which runs a few times per day.

There is a ski bus from Bled to Krvavec that runs only during the ski season, only on weekends, departing at 9am and returning at 4pm. There is also a ski bus that runs from Bled to Vogel, only during the ski season on days that are suitable for skiing and the ski centre is open. Departing Bled at 9am and returning from Vogel at 4pm. You will also find bus connections from Bled to a variety of destinations in Slovenia.

The nearest train station is 3km away at Lesce Bled.

Villa Koritno is a really comfortable holiday home offering high quality and spacious accommodation for up to 10 people in 5 generously proportioned bedrooms. On the ground floor are two twin bedrooms plus entry room and bathroom with shower. On this floor is also a large open plan kitchen (high quality modern fittings and fixtures), dining room, living room. The living room has a nice closed fireplace and doors onto a lovely balcony overlooking views over open fields to Bled Castle and the Julian Alps beyond. In the basement there is a toilet, laundry room, heating room and garage. On the first floor are 3 further bedrooms (1 double, 2 twin) plus all with balcony access, bathroom with bathtub and separate toilet. The garden surrounding the house offers a lovely space for kids to play or for a relaxing evening drink whilst admiring the wonderful views and fresh mountain air!

The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and has a hob, oven, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, dishwasher, kettle & coffee machine. A large kitchen island is great for meal preparation or a more informal sitting area.

In the laundry room in the basement there is a washing machine, dryer, ironing board and iron.

Living Room

The living room is open plan with the dining area and offers seating for 6 on two sofas with a charming closed wood burner and lovely balcony doors out to the garden area.

The house is surrounded by a nice garden offering ample space for kids to play whilst adults watch over them from the living room balcony. The living room balcony has a couple of easy chairs and small table for morning coffee etc. There are 2 balconies both with beautiful views on the first floor.

There is a BBQ for guest usage and an outside table for alfresco dining.
