INTRODUCTION

The pretty village of Komen in the heart of the Karst region is home to the charming family run Spacapanova Hisa, a small hotel where they take their food and wine very seriously! Rooms are comfortably and beautifully furnished. A lovely quiet, friendly place to stop over for a couple of nights and explore the wonderful Karst region.

Spacapanova Hisa is located in the heart of the Karst wine-growing region in the village of Komen. The village of Komen itself is small but attractive with a beautiful church, good views of the pretty surrounding countryside and vineyards and a few useful facilities such as restaurants, bars, convenience store and petrol station. It is a good location for exploring the Karst region and its many attractions including wine routes starting in the village and the historic hilltop village of Stanjel a short drive away. The famous Lipica stud and world class caves at Postojna and Skocjanske Jame are a little further but easy reachable as day trips from Spacapanova Hisa. The village is only 15km from the Italian Adriatic and also offers relatively easy access to the Goriška Brda region and the Soča Valley beyond. For more area info click here.

Easy day trips to various other Karst attractions such as Lipica Stud, castles and caves at Postojna and Skocjanske Jame. Daytrips to Ljubljana, the Slovenian Adriatic or the Goriska Brda wine growing area are easily possible. 15km to the Italian Adriatic - daytrips to Trieste and Venice are also no problem.
