The Podkoren Apartments - Kranjska Gora chalet:

INTRODUCTION

Two beautiful apartments with their own entrance in one of Slovenia's prettiest alpine ski villages just a few minutes drive to Kranjska Gora, Slovenia’s best known mountain resort, and with lift access from the village to the Kranjska Gora ski area 10 minutes walk from the apartments. The apartments are located in a lovely timber and stone clad Kranjska Gora chalet facing onto the picturesque central square of the village just a few steps away from an excellent restaurant. The village itself is extremely charming and a lovely place to soak up the authentic alpine atmosphere and enjoy traditional Kranjska Gora chalet buildings set around a lovely square. Fully renovated internally & externally in recent years The Podkoren Apartments have an independent entrance just serving the two apartments - ideal for larger groups wishing to rent both flats. The professionally designed interiors are of an exceptionally high quality with solid wood furnishings throughout giving a wonderful cosy alpine experience.

Podkoren is one of Slovenia's prettiest mountain villages with pretty alpine architecture set around a lovely square just 2km from Kranjska Gora, Slovenia's best known mountain resort and in walking distance to the Kranjska Gora World Cup ski pistes. The apartments are in a beautiful building on one side of the square with views of the World Cup Ski Pistes beyond the square. Not many Kranjska Gora chalets offer the opportunity for guests to watch the annual World Cup races from the comfort of their own balcony! On the border with Austria & Italy, Kranjska Gora is the most famous mountain resort in Slovenia. The skiing is the main draw for many people – Kranjska Gora is a superb resort for families and beginner – intermediate level skiers, with pistes easily accessible from the village. But with stunning mountain scenery, great access to the Triglav National park and a host of Summer and Winter outdoor pursuits (walking, mountain biking, horse riding, cross country skiing, mountaineering & ice skating) it remains very popular all year round. The town itself is a pretty alpine affair, very family friendly, with lots of lively restaurants, bars and a couple of swimming pools / spas. Around Kranjska Gora are a number of extremely pretty villages (including Podkoren, Rateče, Mojstrana, Dovje) in idyllic mountain surroundings.
