Hvala Hotel Kobarid

Situated in the main square of the pretty and historic town of Kobarid in the heart of the Soca Valley, the Hotel Hvala (meaning Hotel Thank You!) has had a comprehensive facelift in recent years and offers not only stylish comfortable accommodation but one of Slovenia's best restaurants - the outstanding Topli Val.

Hotel Hvala is situated in the main square of the charming small town of Kobarid in easy reach of all the town's various attractions and amenities - which include some excellent places to eat and drink, a fascinating museum about the region's important role in the 1st World War (including Kobarid itself which was the site of a major battle which turned the fortunes of the Soca front) and access to the river for various river sports - from kayaking to fly fishing. There are countless other things to do in the area - from walking the beautiful Tolmin Gorge, to leaping off a mountain on a paraglider, from hiking up countless beautiful mountain trails to skiing at Slovenia's first cross border ski area at Kanin. A wonderful lake Raibl is just 20 minutes from Bovec over the Predel pass into Italy; it is a stunningly beautiful and wild lake between the Kanin and Montaz massifs in the "forgotten" valley which runs from Tarvisio to Sella Nevea.  Click here for more area info.
