Gradenc Country Estate comprises two charming authentic holiday cottagesLipa & Vrba - and an extensive secluded garden in a tranquil position on the edge of the village of Gradenc set in idyllic hilly wine-growing countryside 7km from the historic riverside town of Zuzemberk. Lipa cottage sleeps 8 whilst Vrba cottage sleeps 6, the whole property offering a total capacity of 14. A great property for bigger groups - especially families with children. The Krka valley region offers plenty of lovely walking/hiking, biking and river activities, golf, wine tourism plus some fascinating sights – not least Zuzemberk castle and beautiful Ljubljana is just 40 min drive away. The cottages can be rented separately or together.

Gradenc Country Estate is located at the edge of the village of Gradenc in a quiet and secluded position surrounded by forests and with a hedge / fence surrounding the whole 3000m2 garden. Within walking distance is the village where you can find all kinds of delicious local produce and wine for sale. The village is set in the idyllic rolling hills of the Krka valley and is just 7km to Zuzemberk a charming historic town on the river Krka known for its magnificent castle overlooking a series of small waterfalls on the river. The town offers lots of useful amenities such as shops and restaurants as well as a park where it is possible to swim in the river in Summer months.

The Krka river itself offers fantastic fly-fishing and excellent kayaking to suit all levels. The countryside surrounding the valley is dotted with vineyards and offers huge scope for family friendly walking and biking in lovely natural surroundings. There are a number of spas in the region – the closest being Dolenjske Toplice 20km away whilst golf can be found nearby at Trebnje and Otocec. The region is also rich with sights including Kostanjevica na Krki, Pleterje & Otocec and the regional capital Novo Mesto. Ljubljana too is an easy excursion – only 40 minutes drive from the property. 40km south of the property lies the magnificent Kocevje forest – Slovenia’s bear country.

Gradenc Country Estate offers very spacious comfortable holiday accommodation in two completely renovated, but authentic country cottages, which retain many of the original features and charm of the original buildings.  
The larger Cottage Lipa (Lime tree) sleeps up to 8. It features a very large and comfortable living room (with fireplace and double sofabed) open plan with the kitchen and dining room. There is also a separate pantry, entry area and comfortable bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs is a large master bedroom with 2 double beds ideal for a family and a smaller second double bedroom with double bed. There is also a play area / secondary living space upstairs which has a double sofabed if required. 
Just a few steps away is Cottage Vrba (Willow) which accommodates 6 people. On the ground floor is kitchen – dining area half open plan with the cosy living room with fireplace (ad double sofabed). The bathroom is also on the ground floor. On the first floor is a very large bedroom with double bed and double sofabed if required.
Surrounding the cottages is a fantastic secluded enclosed garden with lovely outdoor eating area under the shade of a lime tree, a BBQ area and boules pitch.  Finally there is a small old wooden granary where children will love to play.

Prices for Gradenc Estate - Cottage Lipa & Cottage Vrba - Gradenc are from 70 EUR / night - 180 EUR / nightdependent on the season.

Prices are based on a minimum stay of 3 / 4 nights dependent on the season, with shorter stays considered on request and possibly subject to a supplement.
Last minute discount: 15% for bookings made within 1 week of arrival
Multiple week discount: 5% on stays of 10 nights

NB only one discount is possible per booking. The largest discount will be automatically calculated on your booking.
