On the border with Austria & Italy, Kranjska Gora is the most famous mountain resort in Slovenia. The skiing is the main draw for many people – Kranjska Gora is a superb resort for families and beginner – intermediate level skiers, with pistes easily accessible from Podkoren or the Kranjska Gora side and a range of other winter sports in proximity - cross country skiing, sled dog tours, ice climbing, ski mountaineering & ice skating. With stunning mountain scenery, great access to the Triglav National park and a host of summer outdoor pursuits it remains very popular all year round. Lake Jasna, a short walk out of the centre of Kranjska Gora offers a stunning place to swim and sunbathe in beautiful mountain scenery.

Walking is one of the main summer attractions with a huge range of beautiful trails to suit all abilities. Running through Podkoren is also a wonderful cycling trail on an old railway track runs 30km from the bottom of the Upper Sava Valley into Italy. There is also a huge range of mountain biking in the region including a World Cup mountain bike park on the Kranjska Gora ski slopes. There is also a Summer Sledging piste on the ski slopes which is very popular with kids.

The town of Kranjska Gora itself is a pretty alpine affair, very family friendly, with lots of lively restaurants, bars and a couple of swimming pools / spas. Around Kranjska Gora are a number of extremely pretty villages (including Podkoren, Rateče, Mojstrana, Dovje) in idyllic mountain surroundings. Sleeping up to 6 people this well appointed Kranjska Gora apartment features an entrance lobby, open plan kitchen / living / dining room area, two bedrooms (one king sized bed, two single beds) with built-in wardrobes, a nice sized balcony with two spacious cupboards containing a clothes airer, ironing board, shelves for food storage, a fold-up table, four balcony chairs. There is a bathroom with bath / shower, heated towel rail, washing machine and hairdryer. The WC is seperate. The kitchen is amply equipped and newly fitted with a ceramic hob & dishwasher; great for cooking up hearty meals. There is a fridge with freezer shelf, microwave, an abundance of crockery and cutlery. A pine dining table comfortably seats 6-8 people. A highchair is also available. The open plan dining / longue area is split level. Two sofas covert to single beds. The entrance lobby is fitted with cupboards for coats, ski clothes and muddy boots. There is also secure basement storage for ski equipment. Inside of which you will find a sledge and a selection of bikes for your use.

On the balcony, there are two spacious cupboards containing clothes airier, ironing board, multiple shelves for food storage, etc. Fold up table and four balcony chairs.
